How did IT’S GREAT TO BE ME! come to be?

Since my early teens, I’ve been searching for the “answers” that I think are universal to all of mankind … “Why am I here?” … “What’s the meaning of life?” … “Who am I?” … “What am I supposed to be doing?”, etc.  I’ve been a life-long self-development junkie … hundreds of seminars, thousands of books … looking for that magic pill that will “do it” for me.  We all want success in our lives.  We all want love, health, achievement, wealth, recognition, and the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.  I realized that “it” wasn’t out there … “it” was in here! Within us all are the answers we’ve been seeking!

So, when I came to the conclusion that EVERYTHING starts with our opinions, thoughts, and feeling about ourselves; I wanted to create a forum that would be solely for the nurturing, encouragement, and support of all the issues of our SELF … starting with discovering (and uncovering) WHO we really are.  Self-discovery before self-development … you’ve go to know what and who you’re developing!

Why are people drawn to the concept of IT’S GREAT TO BE ME!?

I think people want to be empowered … to feel that they are in charge of their lives … that they are responsible for everything in their lives.  Of course, we are!  And at IT’S GREAT TO BE ME! we remind people that that’s exactly the way it is … and we teach people that when they accept these concepts EVERYTHING is affected for the better! … and people WANT to feel better!  So the attraction is natural!

The easiest way to get involved and connected to the community of GREAT ONES! is to see where you might be able to contribute your thoughts and feelings on the various topics we’re discussing … you might have a beautiful story to share with us, or a quote that had an impact on you, or a challenge you might want to add to our blog for discussion.  All of you are welcome to become a part of us, by giving a part of YOU to us!

You mean, my story can be a part of a best seller?

Absolutely!  Why not YOU!  You’re experience in the here and now is every bit as impactful as anyone’s!  No matter what’s going on in your life … the magnificent or mundane … it is a part of our collected human experience!  There are people out there that want to hear from you … that need to hear from you!  Don’t deny them!  Don’t deny yourself the gift of sharing and giving of yourself!

What’s your favorite story?

Wow, that’s a tough one!  I’ve heard and read countless stories of amazing, heart-rending people and their experiences.  But I think that the simple stories are the best … like the one from the six year old girl who said, “It’s great to be me … ’cause my Mommy loves me!”  Of course it is!

Where is all of this going?

To be honest with you, I’m not sure … I’d love to think that we can eventually touch people on a global scale … to affect individuals, households, communities, and nations with a message of self-love and discovery.  I can easily see school courses, TV and radio shows, books, retreats and seminars … all dealing with uplifting, empowering, and enlightening people to BE who they were truly meant to be!  But all of this depends on YOU!  You and your level of caring and sharing will determine where this goes.  There is NO limit to what some commited, like-minded people can accomplish by just intending to do something, and adding some passion to the mix!

Why is it GREAT to be you?!

Where do I start!  I feel the most important place I’m in right now is one where I realize that not only am I responsible for every aspect of my life, but that I’m much more powerful, more capable, and have an infinite potential for achieving anything I truly want.  This, of course, is true for all of us.  I feel very fortunate to have discovered what I think is my truth, and that fills me with comfort and joy, which only strengthens my instinct that I’m on the right path.  IT’S GREAT TO BE ME! because I have amazing peace of mind, and a love for everyone and everything, knowing in my heart that we are really all one … coming from the same source … never to be separated, except by our egos.

I have the most incredible life, for which I’m extremely grateful, and I’m excited about playing any sized role in helping others feel the same!
